South of the Peru and Jungle Trips 15D/14NDay 1: Lima Reception in the Lima airport and transfer at the hotel, depend on the arrival time or your international flight. We will have small city tour. Day 2: Paracas after pour breakfast we will transfer to the bus station at 7.a.m. for your trips to Ica where we arrival to your hotel and the excursion to Paracas of about 4 hours, Paracas is one the best marine reserve, for watching of marine birds. In the afternoon return at your hotel. Day 3: Ballesta Island we pick up from your hotel at 7. 15 a.m. with the direction to Mole or el Chaco, where will take the motorboat till Ballestas island, this island is very spectacular eroded in to numerous arches and caves which provident shelter for thousands of seabirds, some of very which are very rare, this island is known as Galapagos of Peru in the afternoon take our lunch after we will return ours hotel. Day 4: Nazca Line – Arequipa after the breakfast, the tours famous the Nazca line, cut in to the stony desert are large number of lines, not only parallels of geometric figure but also designs as animals and plant,then we wil,visit the cemetery Chauchilla where skulls mommies and pottery shards littering the desert, lunch in Nazca. At 9:00p.m.take the bus till to Arequipa. Day 5: Arequipa - Cosñirhua
We will begin this adventure by picking passengers up from their hotels at 5.20 to take them to a public bus to Cabanaconde (approx.5 hours). Here we will have lunch in a touristic restaurant. Then we will begin our walk and arrive at the Pampa San Miguel (ca. 20min) where we will have an impressive view of and into the fabulous Colca Canyon. Day 6: Cosñirhua – Cabanaconde Next morning we keep going to Malata and admire a beautiful old church and a local museum. After around 3hours we reach Sangalle (Oasis 1230m) where we are going to have about 4 hours of a break. We are having lunch and you can swim in the pool and just relax a bit before we hike back up to Cabanaconde at around 4.00pm, when there is not a lot of sun anymore. The second night we spend in a hostel in Cabanaconde and are going to have dinner in a restaurant. Day 7: Cabanaconde - Cruz del Condor (high point) On the last day we get up quite early at around 6.00 am. After breakfast we take the public bus to Cruz del Condor where we have time to observe the famous Condors for a while. After that we take the bus back to Chivay where you can visit the Hot Springs. We also have lunch afterwards in Chivay before we take the bus back to Arequipa where we will arrive at around 6.00-6.30 pm. Day 8: Arequipa - Puno Breakfast. Transfer to the train or bus station. Ten hours train or bus ride to Puno, across the scenic high Andean landscapes just dotted by small villages and herds of the llamas and vicuñas, upon arrival transfer to the tourist class hotel. Day 9: Islas Uros and Amantany Island We leave at 7:30 a.m. we will travel by motorboat you will arrive at the uros island, the residents of the Uros use the cattail one type of rush which grows in the lake. In the Amantani Island you will sleep on the family house where you will take your dinner and your breakfast with the family. Day 10: Taquile Island After your breakfast includes the lunch at the restaurant, Taquile island is famous for its craft product particularly and beautiful textile. The island is narrow only about 1 km. wide but 6 and 7 km long, on taquile are numerous pre- Inca and Inca ruins and Inca terracing. You will return to Puno in the afternoon and overnight in Puno City. MANU NATIONAL PARK 4 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS* The program can change according to the weather, river conditions and wishes of the group. Day 11: Cusco – Pilcopata We leave from Cusco by private bus, first stopping to visit the pre Inca burial towers of Ninamarca. We then drive through the mountains, to get to the typical and folkloric town of Paucartambo. Here we will take a short walk around the town before carrying on to Ajanaco, the highest point and entrance to Manu National Park. From here we will continue into the Cloud Forest and at San Pedro we will walk for around 1 hour to observe the National bird of Peru, the Cock of the Rock, and many different kinds of monkeys, plants and flowers. We arrive to Pilcopata in the evening where we will sleep in a local lodge. Day 12: Pilcopata- Bonanza Campsite After breakfast we will continue by private bus to Atalaya. On the way we will stop to observe a coca plantation, we will also stop at a view point where you can get a good overview of the jungle and river. From Atalaya we leave by motorized boat to Aguas Calientes, where you can bath in the nature hot springs. And them we will continue to Bonanza Camp site,In the afternoon we will walk in the jungle for several hours in order to appreciate the many different kind of animals, birds, plants and flowers. If we are lucky we will see monkeys. In the evening we will come back to the campsite for dinner and sleep in tents close to the Alto Madre de Dios River. Day 13: Bonanza Camp Site - Soga De Oro Lodge We will leave early to visit the parrot clay lick and after breakfast we will continue by boat, stopping to visit the native community Shintuya on the way. Before lunch we will walk in the jungle for several hours and see different animals, birds such as tiger heron, eagle, flycatcher, kingfisher etc. and many different kinds of plants and flowers. We will then take the boat to Soga de Oro. In the afternoon we will visit Salvacion Lake where we will take a balsa raft and see the pre-historic Hoatzin bird, watch the beautiful sunset and after dark we will look for Caimans. In the evening we will build a bonfire, relax and have some drinks and a BBQ. We will spend the night at Soga de Oro sleeping on raised platforms in tents (optional). Day 14: Bonanza Camp Site – Cusco After Breakfast we will return to Atalaya by boat where our private bus will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. We return to Cusco via the cloud forest and Paucartambo. We will arrive back in Cusco in the late afternoon. Day 15 Cusco – Lima break fast morning at leisure in Puno for you in the afternoon transfers the airport where we will take the flight back to Lima ( airfare included) end of ours service.
